Northamptonshire Acquired Brain Injury Forum Meeting: Concussion and Head Injury in Sport January 12, 2017 6:30 pm
This is a topic of current widespread interest as research identifies the brain damaging consequences of concussions sustained in sports such as rugby, football, and boxing, and the potential longer term effects upon the development of progressive neurological illnesses, such as dementia.
Of interest to health and social care workers, sports educationalists, litigators and anyone with a personal commitment to sport and well-being for themselves or loved ones. The Northamptonshire Acquired Brain Injury Forum is sponsoring a seminar on the welfare benefits system. This topic affects many people with acquired brain injury and professionals working with them. It is of particular interest at the moment with disability benefits issues featuring regularly in the news.
