About The Role
We require Occupational Therapists to join our team providing neurological OT and vocational rehabilitation therapy to our clients in their homes.  The role is part-time, self-employed and home based.
You need to be a qualified OT with experience and specialist rehabilitation skills working with individuals who have sustained a brain injury and associated disabilities.
You should be confident in working independently and with clients and theirfamilies in a community setting.
You will:

  • Provide Occupational Therapy neurological assessment and treatment.
  • Set up and monitor therapy management and treatment programs.
  • Train carers and support staff to assist in delivering therapy programmes where appropriate.
  • Liaison with other professional and agencies
  • Offering support to clients and their family.
  • Acting as an advocate for the client.
  • Producing accurate and detailed records.
  • Producing formal reports.
  • Identifying and planning goals of intervention and regularly reviewing / updating these.

About You
You will have:

  • Professional qualification
  • RCOT membership
  • HCPC registration
  • Up to date portfolio (CPD)

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience of assessment of client’s functions and needs
  • Understanding of carrying out a variety of risk assessments
  • Experience of goal setting for clients
  • Experience and a commitment in setting and meeting tight deadlines
  • Experience in working within a Multi Disciplinary Team

You will be able to offer:

  • A good knowledge of rehabilitating clients with complex needs
  • Ability to provide excellent written and oral communications
  • Commitment to working with clients with complex needs, to work on their behalf and in their best interest
  • Commitment to delivering a high standard of professionalism to clients, families, Solicitors, Deputies etc
  • Self motivated, able to set challenging but attainable goals and ensure they are met
  • Ability to inspire and motivate others
