Brain Injury Care Experts - Can I do it? What do they do? And why would I do it?
June 12, 2019 –
If you are an Occupational Therapist, Nurse or Physiotherapist working in statutory care, independent practice or case management, with those who have suffered Acquired or Traumatic Brain Injury, with 6 years or more postgraduate experience and an involvement in setting up care packages, then you could be a Care Expert.
A Care Expert completes a functional assessment following a clinical negligence or personal injury claim and then produces a cost report covering the lifelong needs of a claimant. This report includes care, equipment and housing and will help the court decide on the amount of compensation to be paid to the claimant.
Care Expert work is a fantastic way to use your clinical skills in a unique, challenging environment without giving up your current clinical role. There are numerous benefits involved with this work including access to continuous ongoing development, networking opportunities and significant financial reward.
During our seminar you will find out what Care Expert work is from our experienced Occupational Therapist and Care Expert, Helen Neale. She will be available to answer questions and help you understand the role and how this flexible, part time opportunity could suit you. There will also be the opportunity to look over a number of Care Expert Reports.
You should leave this session knowing what Care Expert work is and if it is the next opportunity for you.
Join us in London at the Marlin Waterloo, 111 Westminster Bridge Road, SE1 7HR on Wednesday 12 June between 6.00pm and 7.30pm.
