Workshop in Cambridge on intensive care after a brain injury

Have you experience of intensive care after a brain injury as a patient or carer?  If so, the Brain Injury Healthcare Technology Co-operative invites you to a free event to discuss your experience and to talk about what can be improved. 

The event will take place in Cambridge on Tuesday 10th November from 10am to 3pm. Lunch and coffee will be provided and we will refund reasonable travel expenses.

Our latest newsletter is now available below and includes articles about the NIHR patient and carer survey, fundraising, regional groups and the UKABIF Annual Conference and Awards. It also heralds a new publication, a mainstream brain injury magazine entitled B21. This includes an extremely interesting piece by James Cracknell on the road to re-discovery after suffering a severe brain injury due to a road accident whilst cycling across America in 2012. James, who listed UKABIF as one of his favourite charities (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/men/active/10472742/James-Cracknell-my-recommended-brain-injury-charities.html) spoke very movingly about his experience with wife Beverley Turner at UKABIF’s conference in 2013.
