National Childhood Epilepsy Conference

The National Centre for Young People with Epilepsy is proud to host the 3rd National Childhood Epilepsy Parents and Families Conference. The conference is to be held on Saturday 3 July 2010 at Ramada Manchester Piccadilly Hotel.

The one day conference is aimed at parents, families and friends of all children and young people with epilepsy. The event is designed to provide information and support for mums, dads and siblings of the 60,000 under 18s across the UK living with epilepsy as well as the young people themselves.

Talks and workshops will be delivered by a wide range of experienced professionals working in the field of epilepsy including Professor Helen Cross, epilepsy specialist nurses and psychologists. There will also be an exhibition where parents can learn about services and support from key organisations.

Also, at the conference we are running the very popular Teens Workshop for young people to give them the opportunity to learn with each other and share experiences with their peers.
