The Neurological Alliance has helped to shape a Health Services Journal two-day conference in London designed specifically to provide health and social care professionals with key insights into the mid-point review of the implementation of the National Service Framework (NSF) for long-term neurological conditions.

Delivering Patient Centred Neurological Services and pre-conference seminar Improving Neurological Services in the Community, are two events that bring together national experts and leading organisations to address the key issues and challenges surrounding neurological services.

It is estimated that 350,000 people in the UK need help with the activities of daily living because of a neurological condition. And, it is widely recognised that people with LTnC have improved health outcomes and a better quality of life if they can access prompt advice and support from relevant practitioners with dedicated neurological expertise.

Patients can experience better clinical outcomes, improved quality of life and higher levels of satisfaction but this cannot happen without effective coordination, better team work and a greater focus on preventative strategies that enable people to stay as well as possible.
