This practical 1 day workshop will begin by exploring the differences and interplay between emotions, behaviours and cognition. Participants will consider the factors which impact on behaviour following a brain injury and explore a variety of approaches for assessing and working with difficult behaviour within the community. There will be opportunity to discuss and try out some practical strategies to assist with changing behaviour. Thames valley Test Company AssessmentsLocation: The Oliver Zangwill Centre, Ely Date: 23rd April 2010 A one-day workshop, covering the general principles of neuropsychometric testing. It provides instruction in the use of cognitive assessments, test measurement and interpretation, applying the theory to clinical examples. Specific instruction will be given on three of the Thames Valley Tests - the Behavioural Assessment of Dysexecutive Syndrome (BADS), the Doors and People: a test of visual and verbal recall and recognition, and the Test of Everyday Attention (TEA).
