Head First are presenting another thought-provoking Brain Injury Conference at BMA House in London on Thursday 10th May 2012.
More Than Meets The Eye: Exploring Overlooked Issues In Brain Injury
The conference will present the latest thinking in the “hidden” deficits affecting individuals with brain injury. It will provide an overview of recent research and advances relating to both the internal and external factors that affect recovery.
Topics covered in the morning will include the three P‟s - physiological, psychiatric and psychological factors. In the afternoon consideration will be given to those „external‟ influences in the client‟s environment that impinge on the individual‟s functioning.
The conference will be of interest and value to practitioners new to the field of brain injury as well as experienced practitioners, including Case Managers, Rehabilitation Specialists, Social Workers, Commissioners and Providers of Care, Deputies, Personal Injury Lawyers, Insurance Providers, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Neuropsychologists, and any organisations or people working with individuals with an acquired brain injury.
