Neurorehabilitation: from Theory to Practice, to Outcome

In recognition of the forthcoming opening of The East Midlands Centre for Neurobehavioural Rehabilitation, Castlebeck would like to invite you to a Clinical Symposium which aims to provide an overview of psychological and emotional aspects of neurorehabilitation following a brain injury. The day will focus on clinical and psychological approaches which can lead to greater empowerment and improved outcomes for patients. Sessions will assess current challenges and opportunities in this field and will feature both professional and patient experiences of rehabilitation following an acquired brain injury. Speakers include:

  • Dr Tim Howard, Consultant Psychiatrist, Castlebeck
  • Prof Barbara Wilson OBE, Chair of the World Federation of Neurorehabilitation Special Interest Group in Neuropsychological rehabilitation
  • Professor Huw Williams, Associate Professor of Clinical Neuropsychology and Co-Director of the Centre for Clinical Neuropsychology Research, University of Exeter
  • Dr Declan McNicholl, Consultant Neuropsychologist, Leicestershire Partnership Trust
  • Jayne Tranter, Service User, Headway.  Jayne will be sharing her own experiences about how different services have helped/supported her during her recovery and rehabilitation.
