A survey of carers for people with brain injury carried out by Headway shows carers urgently need more support. 60% of carers do not feel they have adequate support and only 27% have received a carers assessment. 59% show signs of clinical depression. Staff member and Founder of the Encephalitis Society, Elaine Dowell, is one of the 8,000 Olympic torch bearers http://www.london2012.com/torch-relay/torchbearers/. Elaine will be carrying the torch on Wednesday 20 June at 11.00 in Aiskew, a village just east of Bedale in the Yorkshire Dales.
