Ava Easton

Ava Easton co-manages The Encephalitis Society with its founder Elaine Dowell and has spent the last nine years developing and managing the support, education and research Services for the Society. The organisation has grown significantly both in terms of membership and financially under Ava’s co-leadership. 

Ava has an Honours degree in Social Sciences/Social Psychology, is a qualified and experienced teacher and trainer, and is currently studying for her doctorate with the University of York.

Ava has produced and published articles on many different aspects of Encephalitis and its after-effects and has not only developed a deep knowledge and understanding of acquired brain injuries but is also familiar with the many diverse problems that they bring about. She also speaks at meetings for members, and at conferences and seminars for health and social care professionals around the UK and abroad.
